Breakfast arrives by boat. The waiter taps on the door of my water bungalow with a full tray and a smile. I can’t help but smile back. That’s how it goes down here on the lagoon in Bora Bora. I suppose something about the most breathtaking, colorful scenery in the world just improves your mood. Everyone looks happy here, even the birds.

I wonder if those who flap their wings south for the winter ever stay. I wouldn’t blame them. Once I get here, the last thing on my mind is leaving. But of course, duty calls. There are presentations to present and obligations that need obliging. So I board my flight in the morning and leave paradise behind. But I never forget to bring back a little piece (or three).
